Giveaway winner and recipe!!!

Good morning,

I can't believe it - two days ago we were outside in the sunshine with shorts, tops and sunscreen and today we had to turn on the heater, it snows and I am so tired because of the wind which kept me awake. Crazy weather!

Today it's time to announce the Giveaway winner. I didn't have very much time for blogging. We had visitors from Germany and there was always something to do. Especially with the great weather we had. Back to the giveaway - I chose the winner via random.org and the lucky winner is: Tracey!

Congratulations Tracey!!!!
Please send me an email to amomgetsfit@yahoo.com with your shipping address!

My top 3 right now are: Peanut Butter Cookie, Cashew Cookie and Coconut Cream Pie. But that can always change, because LARABARS are available in so many delicious flavors! Even my kids love them!

I am sorry if you didn't win, but thanks so much for participating, and there will be more giveaways in the future! :-)

And now I want to share a recipe which is extremely delicious and kinda helps me if I crave something sweet. Even though I just drink this Protein Smoothie after a workout.

Peanut-Butter Chocolate Smoothie

1/2 cup of Almond Milk
1 scoop Chocolate Protein Powder
2 tbsp Peanut Butter (I always use the all natural one which contains nothing but Peanuts. No salt added)
1/2 cup Ice

Blend everything in your mixer and enjoy!

My new workout outfit

I was so happy to find a package with that in the mail today! Thanks again to www.toneitup.com

I couldn't choose a size and I was even more stoked that I fit in a size S/M pants.

They are still tight. And I need to loose more weight, but just the fact that I fit in. I mean I have pants with two X in front of the L and my shorts from last summer are a size 18!!!

This motivates...a lot!!

Random pictures!

I haven't posted in a while. One of the reasons - our youngest was able to climb on a carton, she grabbed my camera, pulled it down and the lens broke. Today or tomorrow I do have to go to the store to buy a new one. And till then I share a few Instagram pictures with you! :-)

Preparing a Peach-Mango Tofu Smoothie

1 cup of Almond Milk
1 cup of (frozen) Peaches
3/4 cup (frozen) Mango
1/2 Banana
4 - 6 oz Soft or Silk Tofu

If you want to get used to the Tofu taste slowly just add 4 oz of Tofu. Makes about 2 - 3 servings!

Veggies for dinner

We made "Baked Coconut Shrimp" the other night. Were they good? Yes they were okay. Would I make again? Probably not. :-)

Last night I made a Whole Wheat Pizza dough. I try to avoid Carbs at night, but we got visitors from Germany and it just seemed like a great way to feed a few more people without a lot of work since I had to prepare the house as well. :-)

Doing Yoga with the Hubby at around 09:30 at night.
Because we didn't have time during the day. I'm so proud of us.

We got mail today. Actually yesterday, but we didn't check the mail yesterday. Oooppss. The P90X Recovery Drink. I did my Legs&Back workout, followed by Ab Ripper and couldn't wait to try it. And  IT IS SO GOOD!

HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!!!!

Happy Monday!

Did you know it's "International Fitness Week"!!??
So get off the couch and get going.

My favorite workout: Putting in a P90X DVD and sweat together with Tony Horton and his Crew!

But do whatever you want to do. Go to the gym, walk, hike, swim, run, dance. Just DO it.
You won't regret it!

I used to hate Mondays. But it kinda changed. Today was a good one. I guess changing the eating and exercise habits helps a lot too. I was already really motivated in the early morning and so I signed up for the Drop10 Challenge and as a blogger, I joined FitFluential.

I stumbled over the Fitness Blogger Conference before I started this little blog here. Today I came across the website again and now that I have this blog, I would love to join that event. And right now you have the chance to win a scholarship provided by Refuel with Chocolate Milk. That would be so awesome!

Back to Fitness topic. It's 08:30 PM. My husband was at work the whole day, we ate dinner, played with the kids and brought them to bed and he is in the middle of doing his workout for today and he still has over 45 min. to go. I am so proud of him!!!

Grilled Avocado and more

I hope everybody had a great weekend! We had amazing weather on Thursday and Friday. Unfortunately it didn't last over the weekend, so we didn't go for a hike or in the Zoo. But that's okay, we had to take care of a few things (like renewing our Costco membership, taking advantage of a great diaper deal, .....) and overall just enjoyed a relaxed weekend.

On Saturday the hubby and me did our workout together (he started P90X on Monday - so exciting!) and it was fun doing Kenpo X together with him. Time flew by really quick. And after that we had a Smoothie with the new Chocolate Protein Powder he bought the day before. Yum!

Today we did some more shopping and in the store I decided to grab a Larabar for the way home, because I was hungry and I planned on working out after the little one was done for a nap. The Larabar "Coconut Cream Pie" was extremely delicious. Even the hubby liked it and I hoped that he didn't want to have a 2nd bite. (hahaha)

It was the stretching routine today and while I was in the "Frog" position, our dog decided to join me. He came up all the way to my face and gave me a few kisses, little silly dog. :-)

I totally forgot to drink a green smoothie yesterday. But I thought it counts as a whole "St. Patrick's Day" weekend. So I threw all the ingredients for a Green Smoothie in my Vitamix......

It includes:

3/4 cup Vanilla Coconut Milk
1 frozen Banana (I just love frozen fruits)
3/4 cup Pineapple (fresh or frozen)
1 cup Spinach (I always freeze those bags of Spinach - works great for me)
6 oz fat free Greek yogurt
1 tbsp unsweetened coconut
1 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
1 1/4 ice cubes (not shown in the picture)

If you use frozen Pineapple instead of a fresh one, use less ice unless you like a really thick smoothie :-)

.....and blended it up really good. THIS IS SO DELICIOUS!!! Even if you're not a spinach fan. Try it! I could drink that one every day.

Even though the weather wasn't as good as we hoped, we still started our BBQ season today.

We made "Grilled Avocado" for the very first time. And this one totally makes it on our "Healthy side dish" list for a BBQ.

You need:

1 Avocado
Lime juice
Olive Oil
Sea Salt (optional)
Greek Yogurt (or Sour Cream if you prefer)

Cut the Avocado in half, remove the seed, mix up the lime juice with the olive oil and brush it over the Avocado and place it, flesh side down, on the grill for about 4 to 5 minutes.

Put a scoop of Greek Yogurt in the middle, sprinkle a little bit of Sea Salt on it and dig in. Pure Yumminess!!!! Trust me.

After the avocado I had a piece of chicken, stuffed mushrooms and a Cucumber-Tomato-Feta Salad.

And my little one couldn't get enough of the corn and she wanted to eat it all by herself. :-)
